Hello friend, and welcome! My name is Niki and I am a queer knitter based in Finland. After not touching knitting pins for over two decades, I picked them up again in a whim in September 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, and I haven't really put them down since.I primarily knit socks, but I have dabbled my hands with other miscellaneous things, such as shawls, cushions, pouches and others things, and I'm eager to learn more! Currently I consider knitting to be a dear hobby of mine, but I'm open for the possibility of making it something more in the future.Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you would like to get something knitted by me. What can I do for you?
Wool socks – €30
Mixed wool yarn for your everyday, regular wear.
Can incorporate different colours, basic patterns and braiding.
Length can be ankle or below the knee.
Base price starts at €30 and goes up from there, depending on the complexity of the work and the type of yarn used.
Scarves – €75
A straight, rectangle like scarf with optional tassels or a fringe at the ends.
Can incorporate different colours, basic patterns, braiding, cable, lace etc.
Base price starts at €75 and goes up from there, depending on the complexity of the work, the length of the scarf and the type of yarn used.
Shawls – €200
A triangular shawl with optional tassels or fringe at the corners or over the whole length.
Can incorporate basic patterns, cable, lace etc.
Base price starts at €200 and goes up from there, depending on the size, complexity of the work and the type of yarn used.

| On default I send out sock commissions as parcel packages that are priced at €12,50/€20,00. Please be noted that until we've agreed on your commission, I cannot guarantee an exact shipping price! |
| *Domestic shipping is primarily determined by the package's size dimensions, instead of weight. The pricing starts at €6,90 and goes up to €15,90. |
INSTRUCTIONS
| 1. email me over at alek.koivu(at)outlook.com with your initial idea. title your email with a general idea of what you want, e.g. "Commission, two-color socks" or "Commission, long scarf". your message should contain at least the following things: |
| – what are you looking for. socks, a scarf, a shawl or something else? |
| – the general idea. is it themed, does it have surface patterns, possible color palette? if you have reference pictures of what you might like, attach them in the mail as well! |
If you want socks: I will need to know your shoe size. the easiest will be for me to know your shoe size either in EU or UK sizing.
If you want a scarf/shawl: knowing your height will help me tremendously in determining the work's size!
| 2. I will come up with a general idea and color sheet for your work, along with making sure we are on the same page with the design. at this point we will also go through sizing and other necessary information regarding your piece. |
| 3. I will send you an invoice via paypal for your commission. if you haven't made the payment in 72 hours, I reserve the right to cancel your commission. all my prices are in EUR/€, I use PayPal's invoices for international orders and regular Finnish bank transfer for domestic orders, and the total price will consist of the commission price and shipping. as your commission is a physical made-to-order work, I will not begin working on your piece until I've received your payment. |
| 4. when finished, your commission will be sent out! upon shipping, I will provide you an estimated time window in which you should be receiving your commission. ♥ |
NOTES
| - every commission piece will be shipped in a water and dirt secure package to minimise damages and tearing during the shipping. all commissions come with a care sheet. |
| - you will be updated on my progress frequently. at minimum, I will give you updates on when I begin my work, an estimate of how long it'll take to finish, when I send it out and in case anything happens and, say, it's postponed. you also have the option to see the finished work before I send it out. |
| - I post the majority of my works online, so if it's a gift or otherwise need to be kept a secret, let me know and I will wait until the commission has reached its respective owner. |
| - as I ship things from my local post office in Finland and every work is made-to-order, things will take time. I will always give an estimate of how long the work will take but please be patient, especially after I send your commission out! |
| - in the case of the postal service losing your package, I will refund you the original price of the commission up to 40%. |
| – I reserve the right to decline a commission if I feel that it's not within my skills to make or if for any, undisclosed reason the commission makes me uncomfortable. |
| - redistribution and reselling my works is strictly prohibited! |
